Mark Twain

Mark Twain was an outstanding writer, humorist, and had a wonderful personality. He was famous for writing interesting literature that grabs the interest of anyone who reads it.  Mark was considered as America's funniest man in his time. In all of his works, he never used his real name, Samuel Clemens. Instead he used his pen name, Mark Twain. Mark Twain is an expression used in Mississippi that means "safe water- twelve feet deep".

Mark Twain was born November 30 ,1830 on the night Halley's Comet came.

On the vallies of  Mississippi River, 'mark twain' meant 'two fathoms deep.'

Twain was very interested in parapsychology.

Two weeks before his birth in 1835, the Halley Comet appeared. After seventy five years, on the day he died the Halley Comet again appeared but he couldn’t see it. It was in the year 1910 that he died.
